Power outage shorter than expected
Approximately 200 North Fort Myers residents and a few localized area businesses were hit with a power outage that started at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 14.
Power went back on at about 1:56 p.m.
“There were branches that fell on the lines,” said Karen Ryan, Public Relations Manager for LCEC.
During the actual outage, she said they had power crews at the scene and tree trimming crews removing the trees that did the damage.
The area that was hit with the outage was on Business 41, with businesses including the Shell Factory and parts of the Merchant’s Crossing complex.
