Deputies Arrest One Of Lee’s Most Wanted; Marks 40th Arrest For Dominique Williams
One of Lee County’s most wanted fugitives is back in familiar surroundings…the Lee County Jail. Deputies arrested Dominique Lamar Williams, DOB 1-7-77, at approximately 9:30 am on August 5, 2009, after pulling over a vehicle in the area of Colonial and Summerlin Boulevard. Williams was a passenger in the vehicle and was arrested on an open booking sheet for Strong Arm Robbery, False Imprisonment, Battery and four additional misdemeanor warrants.
This marks the 40th time Williams has been arrested in Lee County since 1993. His rap sheet includes arrests for robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon by a felon, hit and run and numerous batteries and drug offenses. Despite being one of Lee County’s most habitual offenders, Williams has yet to spend a single day in prison.
“Dominique Williams is a menace to society,” says Sheriff Mike Scott. “He is a textbook career criminal and could care less about law and order. He’s also a perfect example of the frustration law enforcement faces in having to arrest the same offenders over and over again.”
