Eight Perkins Restaurant & Bakeries in the Fort Myers area are holding a food drive to benefit the Harry Chapin Food Bank between now and August 31. The community is encouraged to drop off nonperishable food items into the blue barrels located in the lobbies of the participating restaurants. For those donating two or more items, Perkins will provide a coupon for a free slide of pie, fresh from their in-house bake shoppe.

The participating restaurants are the following locations:

Fort Myers South, 12300 Cleveland Ave.

Fort Myers Beach, 11410 Summerlin Square Dr.

Fort Myers North, 13620 N. Cleveland Ave.

Bonita Springs, 27941 Crown Lake Blvd.

Lehigh Acres, 2700 Lee Blvd.

Six Mile, 13801 S. Tamiami Trl.

Cape Coral Parkway, 1501 Cape Coral Pkwy.

Cape Coral Del Prado, 1551 Del Prado Blvd.

There are currently nearly 500 Perkins Restaurants & Bakeries in 34 states and four Canadian provinces.
