Grow house discovered in NFM
A North Fort Myers man was arrested when deputies discovered a marijuana grow house operation after his girlfriend called the police over a domestic disturbance.
William Davis, 23, of 240 Lowell Avenue, was charged Friday with marijuana producing Schedule I, marijuana possession over 20 grams, narcotics equipment manufacture and deliver and battery touch or strike.
A reported domestic disturbance at his house warranted further investigation, said a sheriff’s department spokesman. The call allowed deputies inside and they saw signs of marijuana cultivation once in the residence.
18 marijuana plants were discovered.
The suspect’s girlfriend contacted deputies after she and Davis allegedly got into an argument, and Davis allegedly prevented her from leaving the couple’s residence by taking away her car keys, according to the police report.
