1 min read

On October 6, 2009, members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division Narcotics Unit focused their efforts on investigating leads relating to grow house cultivation operations in Lee County.

An anonymous tip led detectives to 15620 Glendale Lane, Fort Myers, where they made contact with the homeowner of the residence later identified as Jorge Sanchez (DOB 4/25/42). Sanchez provided detectives with consent to search his property. Once inside, an elaborate marijuana cultivation operation was discovered. Detectives seized 89 marijuana plants worth an estimated street value of $356,000. Sanchez was charged with Trafficking in marijuana, marijuana cultivation and possession of marijuana producing equipment. Members of the Bonita Narcotics Group, the P.I.L.S. Unit, and Delta District deputies assisted with the operation.
