Visiting Ukrainian Abbot to serve at St. Nicholas Monastery
Saint Nicholas Monastery in North Fort Myers welcomes to Florida the Very Reverend Igumen Varsonofy, of Saint Panteleimon Cathedral in Skadovsk, Kherson Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Moscow Patriarchate. Igumen Varsonofy is in America as a guest of His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR). In addition, Metropolitan Hilarion has blessed the Very Reverend Hieromonk Aidan (ROCOR) to pilgrimage to the monastery at the end of this week for next Sunday’s Commemoration of the Holy Fathers of the Seventh Ecumenical Synod. Services will be in Church Slavonic and English.
Confessions may be heard throughout the week, please call Mother Andrea (239-229-3871, cell) to schedule time with Igumen Varsonofy or Hieromonk Aidan. If you wish to receive Holy Communion, please make arrangements in advance for Confession. Anyone in need of a home blessing, business blessing or other special service, please contact Mother Andrea.
