Horizon Village ladies bring holiday cheer
Every month, the Ladies Lunch Group at the Horizon Village Community brings cheer to those who really need it.
In November, the group collected food baskets for needy families in the area, and recently presented full food baskets to Suncoast Neighborhood Task Force Director Susan Gillespie.
Kitty Strickland is the president of the Ladies Lunch Group.
“We’ve also adopted families, and each month, we do everything from a back-to-school-drive to a toy drive at Christmas,” she said.
“We sometimes do canned food drives, and other times toiletries for the homeless,” she reported.
“They are a very generous group,” said Gillespie.
The next function will be a Christmas Toy Drive on Dec. 9.
