Chamber to host two January events

2 min read

The North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce is starting the new year with two special events – an After Hours Networking Event to be held Thursday, Jan. 14, and the monthly Business Leaders Luncheon to be held Wednesday, Jan. 20.

The Networking Event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Manclar Builders Professional Center, located at 618 SW 3rd St. #111, one block south of Pine Island Road and Nicholas Parkway in Cape Coral.

It’s an interesting venue, said Chamber Executive Director Kim Constantine.

“It is a brand new facility, an executive suite, state-of-the-art facility targeted for small businesses that can’t otherwise afford to lease their own place of business.”

There is a charge of $5 to attend and a RSVP is required, to the Chamber offices at 997-9111.

Then on Wednesday, Jan. 20, Jack Glarrow, publisher, North Fort Myers Neighbor and Breeze Newspapers will be the guest speaker at the January Business Leaders Luncheon.

The title of the luncheon will be “The Breeze Newspapers – Adding Everyday Value to the Business Community.”

Glarrow will discuss how to best use a community paper to serve a local business.

He will also discuss the status of the print media and the documented, emerging strength of community based-papers like The Neighbor.

It will be a very informative luncheon, said Constantine. “The Chamber of Commerce wants to put forth as many tools as possible to our members and we are excited that the Breeze will be able to offer those tools in partnership.”

The event will be held from 11:30 a.m to 1 p.m. at the Coral Room at the Palms at Sabal Springs. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
