If you are a fair fanatic, and love the rides, officials for the Southwest Florida Lee County Fair have announced that mega-passes are now on sale and will be available through Feb. 24.

The fair is Friday, Feb. 26, through Sunday, March 7, at the Lee Civic Center.

The mega-pass is $20 for gate admission and unlimited rides on day of choice.

Regular admission is $7 adults, $4 children, five and under free. Rides are extra tickets.

“The theme this year is ‘A whole lotta fun,'” said Alta Moseley, general manager of the Southwest Florida Fair. “We’ll be showcasing local bands for entertainment; everything is local. That includes the Ronnie Morgan Band, Chris MacArthur, David Miller, A Matter of Fate and Bill Gouley and the Golden Road Quartet.”

A cheerleading competition will be held again this year, along with The America’s Hall Of Fame Clog Dancing Competition.

“We also have a show called Wild About Monkeys, and the popular Kandu & Co. Magic Show will be back again this year,” Moseley said.

There’s also two “Moonlight Madness” nights – Friday, Feb. 26, and Friday, March 5. Moonlight Madness goes from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. “That’s unlimited rides for $20 and includes a wristband.”

It will be the 86th annual fair, with all the animal and craft competitions. Premium books are now available on line, at leeciviccenter.com.

Weekdays, the fair opens at 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays at noon.
