Public Information Workshop on Hancock Pkwy. Extension
A Public Information Workshop on the Hancock Bridge Pkwy./Pondella Rd. Extension will be held Thursday, March 25 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The workshop and an Open House, will take place at North Fort Myers United Methodist Church, 81 Pondella Rd.
Honorary Mayor’s Barbecue
The North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Foundation will hold the Honorary Mayor’s Barbecue from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 26.
The Honorary Mayor is an unofficial representative of the North Fort Myers Community of Lee County. Proceeds from the event will fund the North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s ongoing community programs, services and foundation. The Honorary Mayor will be announced and sworn-in at the event, to be held at Maranatha Gardens, 16400 Williams Rd.

Nordic Walking Workshop
On Saturday, March 27, a Nordic Walking Workshop will be held at North Fort Myers Community Park from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Nordic Walking is a full body exercise that can be low impact or as aerobic as the person desires. Some benefits include better balance, upright posture, caloric burn and increased metabolism.

Wiener Dog Racing
On Sunday, March 28, mark your calendar for Wiener Dog Racing at the Shell Factory.
Registration begins at noon races start at 1 p.m. Dachshunds of all sizes, shapes and ages will converge upon the grounds of the Shell Factory and “North Fort Myers Derby Downs” to determine the fastest Wiener Dog of them all, and a chance to own the rights to wear the coveted “Wien Jacket.”

Messiah Spring Concert
On Sunday, March 28, you can attend Messiah Lutheran Church’s The Crucifixion: Messiah Spring Concert.

Sherlock Holmes for Teens
On Tuesday, March 30, kids can attend the Sherlock Holmes for Teens program at the North Fort Myers Library, to be held at 4:30 p.m.
A reader’s theatre, trivia and book and movie discussion will be highlighted (tell us about a Sherlock Holmes story or novel you particularly liked) and find out about Arthur Conan Doyle, the man behind these famous detective works.

Free Healthy Aging Expo
Senior Friendship Centers of Lee County will be holding it s 3rd Annual Healthy Aging Expo for seniors, caregivers, family members on Wednesday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held at The Shell Factory, 2787 N. Tamiami Trail. Admission is free.

Meet The Preserves
On Saturday , March 20, you can “Meet the Preserves.” This is a a chance to learn about the Conservation 2020 s Caloosahatchee Creeks and Prairie Pines Preserves. A staff member will provide basic information about the 2020 program, invasive exotic plant control, and the 1,290 acre preserve. Meet at the pavilion on the east side of the preserve at Caloosahatchee Creeks.

The Annual Auction to benefit North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts will be held on Saturday, March 20 at 7 p.m.

Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church rummage sale
Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church of North Fort Myers will sponser a rummage sale on Friday, March 5, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Saturday, March 6 from 8 a.m. to noon.
The Church is located on U.S. 41, between Circle K and Lake Fairways.
Passport to the World Travel Adventure Film Series
On Friday, March 5, you can enjoy the Passport to the World Travel Adventure Film Series at ECHO (Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization). The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tour the islands of St. Vincent and The Grenadines experiencing waterfalls and underwater gardens. See some of the most colorful countries of Western Europe. Visit castles, the canals of Venice, and take in the countryside of the Swiss Alps. Visit Prairie Pines Preserve with Bird Patrol
At 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, you can visit Prairie Pines Preserve with a Bird Patrol. From the intersection of US 41 (Tamiami Trail) and Bayshore/Pine Island Rd., drive north 3.5 miles to parking lot on the right. A brown sign marks the entrance. You will look for wading birds, raptors and warblers. A new boardwalk has been installed at the site which also boasts a network of equestrian trails. Provided in cooperation with Lee County Parks and Recreation.

Horizon Village Trash & Treasures Sale
Horizon Village, located at 9200 Littleton Road, will be having their Trash & Treasures Sale on Saturday March 13 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Patrons may expect clean, orderly merchandise for sale at purse-pleasing prices. Kitchen foods will include breakfast and lunch fare.
Cape Coral Ladies Lunch Bunch event to benefit ARC
On Wednesday, March 10, the Cape Coral Ladies Lunch Bunch will hold the Annual Fashion Show & Luncheon to benefit NFM Animal Refuge Center. Park Tai Chi classes
Tai Chi classes at North Fort Myers Community Park start a new session in March, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-2 p.m. It is a technique where you perform a series of slow, graceful and controlled body movements. Meditation in motion, integrating your mind, body and spirit. Class starts March 10 and continues through April 2 at the NFM Community Center. The cost is $56 (4 weeks/8 classes). Romance Writers Book Signing
The Southwest Florida Romance Writers will be hosting a book signing event at the Alliance for the Arts on March 13 from 10 a.m to noon to celebrate local authors and announce their new works. As an affiliated chapter of the national organization of Romance Writers of America, the local chapter s membership includes successful and renowned authors. The community is invited to come get acquainted with these writers and purchase signed copy of their books, while enjoying the Alliance galleries.

AARP Tax Preparation is fast, friendly and free by AARP. All ages are welcome to have tax returns made by trained volunteers.
