Robbers Of Bingo Hall Sought
Deputies are looking for two armed robbers that committed a bold daytime robbery.
On March 19, 2010, at 3:13 p.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the US 41 Bingo Hall located at 12011 S. Cleveland Ave, Ft Myers.
Deputies learned that while customers were present, two masked men with handguns entered the business. One of the men stood at the doorway and acted as a lookout while the other walked behind the counter and led the manager at gunpoint to a back office. The gunman forced the manager to turn over an undisclosed amount of currency before he and his accomplice fled the area on foot. An extensive search was conducted immediately following the robbery but the suspects were not located.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect 1: 6′ tall, thin build, approximately 170 lbs, in his 20’s, wearing gray sweat pants, black ‘hoody’ top pulled over his head, black mask, dark gloves, white socks, black shoes, and carrying a silver hand gun.
Suspect 2: 5’5′ tall, approximately 135 lbs, wearing all black clothing, dark gloves, and a black mask.
