Volunteer luncheon announced
RSVP of Lee County, a program of Senior Friendship Centers will be holding a luncheon to recognize volunteers ages 55 and over for their service to the county last year.
Patrick Nolan from FOX4 will be the emcee and David Kelly, publisher for Mature Lifestyles and President of CAMEO, will be the guest speaker.
On Friday, March 19th more than 300 volunteers from RSVP of Lee County, a grantee of the Corporation for National and Community Service, will be honored.
Since 1994, the Corporation’s Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and Learn and Serve America programs have engaged millions of Americans of every age and walk of life in volunteer service to meet vital needs in communities throughout the
country. RSVP of Lee County has engaged more than 1500 volunteers in service to the community.
The Celebrate Volunteers! Luncheon will recognize the efforts of these individuals who provided over 250,000 volunteer hours to Lee County in 2009 equaling $5 Million worth of service to its citizens.
The event will be held at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater located at 1380 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers from 11:30am-1:30pm.
