Pre-Earth Day Coastal Clean-up April 17

Help jump start Earth Day by joining Lee County Parks & Recreation volunteers and other groups and others at the Pre-Earth Day Coastal Clean-up on Saturday, April 17.

Marine debris and beach litter will be collected along the shoreline and roadway near New Pass Bridge at Dog Beach and Big Hickory Island Preserve.

Check-in at 9 a.m. at Dog Beach, 8800 Estero Blvd., on the south end of Lovers Key. Trash bags, gloves and refreshments will be provided to all volunteers. Wear secure footwear, hats and sun screen. Learn about other volunteer opportunities with Lee County Parks & Recreation, including the Friends of Dog Beach.
