Deputies Search For Robbery Suspect

On Tuesday, June 15, at approximately 10:37 P.M., deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Mobile Mart gas station, located at 5179 Palm Beach Boulevard, Fort Myers, in reference to a robbery. Due to the nature of the incident, detectives assigned to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit assumed the investigation.
Upon arrival, detectives learned from the victim and eyewitnesses that the suspect entered the store and demanded money from the cash register. No weapon was visible during the incident, although the suspect gestured as if he was carrying a weapon. Once the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, he left the store and fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a W/M, 5’10”, brown hair, tan shorts, a blue long sleeved, button down shirt, a tan ball cap with a blue rim and black sneakers.
The employee was not harmed during the robbery. There were also three customers present in the store at the time of the incident. None of the customers were injured or robbed.
