Lee County MPO’s Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan Project webpage now available

2 min read

The Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization has selected a team of consultants to assist with the development of the Lee County Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan. The goal of the plan is to provide an accessible and connected bicycle/pedestrian system strategy for short and long-term improvements on the arterial and collector roadways throughout Lee County. As a part of this effort, the Lee MPO and the RWA, Inc. Team are proud to announce the official launch of the Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan webpage www.vhb.com/LeeCountyMPO-BikePed/.

The new webpage will serve as a tool to keep the public informed about the project and its progress. As the project progresses there will be an interactive map added to the webpage. Visitors to the page will be able to comment and identify the location of specific bicycle/pedestrian safety issues directly on a map. This information will then be collected, evaluated, and utilized in the development of the final study.

A link to the webpage is also available on the Lee MPO website at www.mpo-swfl.org/bike-ped.html. The Lee MPO and the RWA Team hope that this webpage will allow for increased visibility for the project and enhanced communication between the consultant team and the Lee County Community in the development of a successful master plan.
