Identification Of Theft Suspects Sought
Identification Of Theft Suspects Sought
Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a couple who took advantage of a military man who accidentally left his wallet at the store.
Deputies say the victim was in line at the Wal Mart on Pine Island Road on June 6th, when he accidentally left his wallet on the counter next to the credit card machine. Surveillance cameras captured images of the next customer in line, a male and female, who spotted the wallet. Instead of doing the right thing and turning the wallet in to store managers, the male customer slipped the wallet into his right pocket, and walked out the door with his
female companion. By the time the victim realized he’d left his wallet there, the couple,
and his wallet, were long gone. Inside the man’s wallet was $400 in cash, his drivers
license, insurance card, and his military identification card.
The suspects in this case are described as a white male, around 40 years of age, and a
white female, who is approximately 35 years old. Anyone with information on the identity
of these two individuals is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All
callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for up to $1,000 in cash rewards. Tips
may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org.
