U-Sell It Auto Flea Market unique new area business

The popular Thursday Shell Factory Flea Market will launch a unique new feature Thursday, July 8 – the U Sell It Auto Flea Market.
“It’s a first in Lee County,” said Shell Factory Flea Market Manager Richard Dunmire. “Vehicle owners bring their own vehicles, they sell it. There will be cars, classic cars, trucks, RBs, boats -anything motorized. It’s only $10 to market or merchandise your car or other vehicle,” he said.
The U Sell It Auto Flea Market will be held on the first Thursday of every month after the July 8 debut, he said.
He’s been working with the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday flea markets held at the Shell Factory location for the last three years. This new attraction will sure to be popular, he said.
“It’s an opportunity to display your vehicle in a place where people can discuss your vehicle, and you can market it,” he said.
The Auto Flea Market will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. “Individuals can use their salesmanship ability to merchandise their vehicle,” he said.
It is along the lines of the new popular trend of many homeowners selling their own properties, he said.
“This is to give the owner the opportunity to share the background, the history of the vehicle with the potential buyer,” he said.
There is no charge to attend any of the flea markets, nor will there be any charge to potential car buyers.
The flea markets themselves draw large crowds. “The thing that’s unique about the Shell Factory Flea Markets are that items are true flea market items – not like in some flea markets, which are more like retail outlets. You can go into any retail market and get something on sale,” he said. “We give an opportunity for vendors to merchandise things that become treasures for perspective buyers.”
There’s also always fresh produce available at the markets. “Much of the produce is picked by the vendors.”
There is also a variety of different vendors, depending on the day, offering everything from household items to automobile items to tools, sporting goods and clothing. “There’s no limit on the varieties offered by the vendors,” he said.”
Besides the new auto vendors, regular new vendors are also always welcome, Dunmire said.
