Cre8 Stylists Sharpen Scissors To Fight Cancer for a Halloween Cut-A-Thon
Cre8 Salon & Spa stylists are donating their time and talents to aid in the fight against cancer with a Cut-A-Thon on October 31, from noon-6 p.m. The community is invited to attend the Look Good, Do Good special event. As the event is taking place on Halloween, stylists will be costumed and giving away complimentary gift bags with free products and discounted services to participating guests. Free chair massages and light refreshments will also be provided.
Cre8 Salon & Spa, a Redken salon at 814 Pine Island Road in Cape Coral, will offer 50 percent off haircuts, styles, manicures and pedicures with all the proceeds going to City of Hope, a biomedical research and treatment center located northeast of Los Angeles that is dedicated to the prevention, treatment and cure of cancer and other life threatening diseases. City of Hope’s mission is to shorten the time from initial research idea to new treatment and quickly bring cures to patients who need them. Redken salons and stylists nationwide are celebrating 50 years by hosting Cut-A-Thons all across the country in support of City of Hope and finding a cure for cancer.
According to Cre8 Salon Owner Marcy Moreno, “Our staff is very excited to lend their talents and time to such a great cause because many of us know someone dealing with this devastating disease.” “The Cut-A-Thon will give residents an opportunity for a great style at a great price while feeling good about serving others,” Moreno said.
Radiology Regional will have their new “Mobile Mammo” on site to provide digital screening mammograms at a discounted price of $150 (regular price $195) for those without insurance. Insurance and co-pays also will be accepted. Crea8 encourages residents interested in mammograms to call the salon to schedule appointments ahead of time.
