Teen identified as victim in early morning crash on Bayshore Road
A identity of a 17-year-old that was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday morning on Bayshore Road has been released. Florida Highway Patrol officials said Christopher T. Lehman of North Fort Myers was the pedestrian who later died at Lee Memorial.
The accident was on Bayshore near the intersection of Flamingo Drive in North Fort Myers.
The crash was reported at 6:19 a.m. Troopers said Lehman was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet driven by Christopher L. Balzano, 35, of Cape Coral.
In the FHP report, Balzano stated he was driving east on Bayshore when he suddenly saw Lehman walking in the road. The front of Balzano’s car struck Lehman.
Balzano will not face charges.
