If you are looking for great deals on arts, crafts, plants and more, plan on attending the annual Arts-Crafts & Plant-A-Palooza to be held at Grace Community Center on Nov. 12 and 13.

It is a popular local event.

“Every year it is bigger and better,” said event coordinator Marsha Smith.

Last year, many community members attended the event.

“It is a major fund-raiser for the center,” she said.

Vendor space is full.

“Along with returning vendors, we have some new ones this year, including a vendor that makes photo balloons, key tags for purses and even a vendor that does pumpkin carvings of your pet – they do it from a photo or from a live pet,” she said.

Food vendors are all new this year.

“Vendors will offer Italian food, Philly and meatball subs, crab cake sandwiches, shrimp baskets and fish sandwiches and more,” she said.

There will be snowcones, popcorn, hot dogs and a bake sale.

“There will also be a Farmer’s Market featuring fresh produce and fresh fish,” she said.

There is free admission and free parking.

“Proceeds benefit Grace Community Center’s ongoing mission,” she said.

The Grace Community Center is a non-profit organization which provides numerous services for the community. It features a large Thrift Store which will be active during the event, and holds one of the largest spaces in Lee County for meetings, school or organizational functions and events.

Plants are a big draw at the annual fund-raiser.

“They were big last year and will be featured again this year. These are houseplants, flowering plants, outdoor plants like shrubs and palms. In addition to gardening, we will have wood and cement furniture for sale,” she said.

Many of last year’s vendors will be back, including jewelry makers and even a vendor that recycles old mink clothes to make bears.

There will be plenty of kid’s activities.

“We want everyone to come and enjoy the event,” said Smith.

Grace Community Center is located at 4151 Hancock Bridge Parkway, on the border of North Fort Myers and Cape Coral. For information on the event, call 574-7161.
