“Tux & Trees” Gala Tickets Now Available Online
Get your tuxedos and ball gowns ready- tickets are now on sale for Southwest Florida’s premier holiday celebration. Tux & Trees Gala tickets are available for purchase online and over the telephone. The glamorous and giving black-tie holiday affair will be hosted Saturday, December 4th, 2010 at the historic Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in the Fort Myers River District.
The Tux & Trees Gala (www.tuxandtrees.com) is the highlight of the week-long “Festival of Trees” celebration. The exciting live auction of beautifully decorated holiday trees is the signature fundraising event of the Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation.
For the second straight year, the black-tie celebration will be hosted by Stacey Adams, the co-anchor of “WINK News at 10 on 6TV” and “WINK News at 11.” Auction duties will be handled by event co-host Scott Robertson, one of Florida’s top fundraising auctioneers.
The evening will also feature a silent auction with lavishly decorated wreaths and other extravagant items. Guests can bid on items like a two-night stay at the ‘Tween Waters Inn, a New Year’s Eve package from The Resort at Marina Villae, golf packages, dining certificates, and even signed, numbered, and framed prints by renowned local artist Wellington Ward III.
In three years, the Festival of Trees and Tux & Trees Gala have combined to raise nearly $160,000 to support Goodwill’s mission of helping people with disabilities and other disadvantages overcome their barriers to employment and independence.
