Update: Accused Murderer Added To 10 Most Wanted List

UPDATE:
Lawrence Rasnick was taken into custody on Wednesday, November 10th by Lee
County detectives. Rasnick had been hiding out at his mother’s home in Alabama, and
had been receiving information that he was added to Crime Stoppers’ 10 Most Wanted
list. As a result of all the attention that placement afforded him, he made contact with Lee
County Sheriff’s Office detectives and said that he wanted to turn himself in. Rasnick
asked if deputies could pick him up at his mother’s house in Alabama, which they did
yesterday. Rasnick arrived at the Lee County Jail at 10:30 p.m. last night, and is now
being held without bond.
**ORIGINAL RELEASE**
A career criminal, now accused of murder and kidnapping, has been added to Lee
County’s 10 Most Wanted List.
36-year-old Lawrence Paul Rasnick, Jr. is wanted in connection with the murder of
Larrick Sikes, whose lifeless body was dumped on the side of the road between Staley
Farms Road and Greenbriar Farms on October 20th, before he was set on fire. Brian
Casey of Fort Myers has already been charged for his role in Sikes’ murder, as well as
the October 15th murder of Ryan Vanderson. However, deputies believe Rasnick fled the
Lee County area shortly after the murder, though he’d been known to frequent the
Orange River and Lehigh Acres areas previously.
Rasnick is definitely no stranger to a life of crime. In Lee County alone, he’s been
arrested 31 times on a wide variety of charges, including narcotics, robbery, battery and
DUI. He’s also spent time in federal prison for robbery, and was just released from state
prison in June 2010 after serving a year behind bars. Rasnick is a known drug user and
a self-professed White Supremacist. He has tattoos all over his body, including a
swastika on his left arm, a naked woman on his right leg, the name Rasnick on his
stomach, and a dragon inked on the back of his head, among others. Detectives say
Rasnick should absolutely be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lawrence Rasnick, Jr. is asked to call
Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be
