Business growth was the topic of the North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce March Business Leaders luncheon.

Stories of local business successes despite the economy were shared, and simple yet effective strategies were examined.

The guest speaker was Judy Silva, the CEO of The Growth Coach, who spoke on the topic of Tools For Transforming Your Future. She shared some general recommendations she makes to clients as a business coach, and some specific action steps business leaders could use to grow their businesses.

One of the key concepts she talked about was connecting with customers. Remember this: Your best clients are your competitor’s best prospects; be sure they are connecting with you, not your competition.

She also talked about success in the current business climate. When business is good, business leaders should continue to improve. When business is challenging, they must improve.

At the meeting, Chamber Executive Director Kim Constantine also noted the current Chamber Membership Drive.

“It will be over the 25th. I would encourage business owners to look at the free additional advertising offered. A new customer training for employees will also be offered.”

Constantine also talked about future Chamber activities.

“We are ramping up for the second annual Great Community Treasure Hunt, which will be held July 30.”

Last year was a huge success, she said. “Businesses that want to be in the Business Expo part of the hunt should give us a call.”

The monthly luncheons are held on the third Wednesdays of the month, at Biancas Ristorante Italiano, 16251 N Cleveland Ave. Ste. 19 in North Fort Myers.

The North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center is located in the Shell Factory & Nature Park complex at 2787 North Tamiami Trail.

The phone number is 997-9111.
