Good Shepherd United Methodist Church to hold second annual Strawberry Festival and Arts/Crafts Show March 12
Good Shepherd United Methodist Church will hold its second annual Strawberry Festival and Arts/Crafts Show on Saturday, March 12, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the church grounds.
Pastor Tom Willetts stressed that the main purpose of this festival is to bring together and build up the North Fort Myers community.
Fresh strawberries and homemade shortcake will be available for sale, as well as hot dogs, hamburgers, soft drinks, popcorn and Sno-cones. Food tickets will be sold which will, according to color, entitle each to a strawberry shortcake ($5), a hamburger meal which includes chips and a drink ($5) and/or a hot dog meal including chips and a drink for $4.
For the kids, there will be a Bounce House, Obstacle Course, face-painting, golf putting, ring toss and much more – no charge for any of these activities. For the older children, there will be antique cars and motorcycles on display, perhaps a horseshoe tournament, basketball hoop.
More activities are being planned.
Three musical groups will be entertaining the attendees during the day: Old Friends from 10 a.m. until noon, the Blue Grass Lazy B Pickers from noon until 2 p.m. and the Entertainers from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Inside the church will be vendors selling arts and crafts as well as a bake sale.
The NFM Chamber of Commerce will also hold a ribbon-cutting to open the festival at 10 a.m.
The church is located at 2951 Trail Dairy Circle in North Fort Myers. Everyone is welcome.
