Shell Factory site of dedication to new ‘Doggie Heaven’ dog park

Join fellow dog lovers at the dedication of a new local dog park deemed “Doggie Heaven” coming soon to the Shell Factory & Nature Park.

On Saturday, May 7, Shell officials will be joined by Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall, North Fort Myers Honorary Mayor Michelle Brisendine, the Chamber’s Pastor Phil Goss and more for the dedication and meet-and-greet for the new pet pal spot.

“We are attempting to build one of the best dog parks on the coast,” said Shell Factory General Partner Tom Cronin Sr.

The Shell Factory’s Richard Dunmire has a new title -Chairman of Doggy Heaven and he will help officiate the ceremony, which will include representative from Aqua Dog Sports (home of the Suncoast Dockdogs) and the Southwest Florida Wiener Dog Club.

“Bring a picture of your pet you can part with for our gallery, “said Cronin.

There will be a membership signup, information packages and the collection of those pet pictures that day.

Check-in will be held starting at 3:30 p.m. across from the Swamp Bar in the main lot by Capt’n Fishbones Restaurant with the event starting at 4 p.m.
