Amy Fenicle, part of the top 10 percent of her class, was a singer for the National Anthem.

The North Fort Myers High School Class of 2011 celebrated its commencement on June 4 at Germain Arena with students surrounded by family, friends and other well wishers.

“The class of 2011 has been an absolute delight for the past four years,” said Principal Kimberly Lunger. “I’ve watched them mature from freshmen into responsible, caring, and genuinely conscientious men and women. As a group, this class will always stand out in my mind as a mischievously fun group of students.

“They have goals and plans and are truly thankful for those who have helped them. I wish them all the best of life and I hope they have learned that commitment and hard work will get them where they want to go.”

Class officers included Megan Rambo, president; Kelly Rosales, vice president; Kelsey Roggero, secretary; Chelsea Pecatrice, treasurer and Jacob Ford, historian.

Besides proud parents, local employers also came to the ceremony. Ray Hair of Ray Hair State Farm Insurance came to honor two students who are his employees — Ryleigh Rolland and Evan Hawes. Hawes is the son of Lee County Manager Karen Hawes, who both reside in the area.
