Identification Of Suspect Sought in Fort Myers Robbery
On Sunday, June 26, 2011, at approximately 8 p.m., Deputies responded to Rutenberg Park, 6500 South Pointe Boulevard, Fort Myers to investigate a burglary to a vehicle. The thief entered the locked vehicle by smashing out a window. Seven-hundred fifty dollars ($750) in property was taken during the burglary.
One of the items stolen was a credit card. Within one-half hour after discovering the burglary the credit card was used at the Sweet Bay Grocery Store located at the corner of Gladiolus and Winkler Roads. Surveillance video of the transaction shows a bald male wearing sunglass on top of his head using the card to purchase beer and cigarettes.
