Two in critical condition, two in serious after SR-31 crash

Two are in critical condition, two in serious after a driver suffered a medical emergency at about 8:30 last night on SR31 south of North River Road.

Cody Lee Yancey, 19, of Alva and Katherine Rose Hatch, 19, of Christiansburg, Virginia were admitted to Lee Memorial Hospital and are listed in critical condition according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Robin Carlette Gray, 40, and Wyatt Gray, 9, both of North Fort Myers are listed as in serious condition.

Driver Yancey was traveling south on SR-31 in the southbound lane, just south of North River Road, when he suffered the emergency. Gray’s vehicle was traveling north on SR-31 in the northbound lane, just south of North River Road when Yancey’s vehicle traveled over the center lane divider and entered into on-coming traffic. Gray took evasive action in an attempt to avoid the collision.
