Water outage for Littleton Road

SCHEDULED WATER OUTAGE FOR LITTLETON ROAD AREA IN NORTH FT. MYERS

FORT MYERS, FL (September 27, 2011) Lee County Utilities will be shutting off the water around 2:30 pm on September 28th to complete a 10″ water main tie-in. The water will be off for approximately 6 hours.

Once the repairs have been completed and water service is restored, the following area will be under a precautionary boil water notice:

All of Littleton Road from North Cleveland Avenue west to Hutto Road. Including all of Hutto Road, Horizon Village, Six Lakes Country Club, Serendipity Mobile Home Park and Littleton Elementary.

Approximately 1500 residential and 5 commercial customers are affected.

As a precaution, all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled at a rolling boil for one minute, or as an alternative, bottled water may be used. This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until bacteriological test shows that the water is safe to drink. Test results will take approximately 48-72 hours.

Please call 533-8575 after 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2011 and each day thereafter as needed to get the current status of the boil water notice.
