On Saturday, Nov. 12, at 6:21 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a medical assistance call. A passerby found an adult male lying in the grass just off the sidewalk along the south side of Pondella Road across from the intersection of Landsdale Drive.

EMS arrived on scene and pronounced the adult male deceased. Deputies established a crime scene and soon discovered the body of a second adult male behind the closed businesses. As a result, Pondella Road was closed between Barrett Road and Sabal Gardens Drive from most of Saturday morning.
