Lee County Community Band features NFM’s Norman Jones

The Season Premiere of the Lee County Community Band will be held on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. and will feature as emcee and vocalist North Fort Myers Norman Jones.

Tap your toes, clap your hands and sing along as the Lee County Community Band begins its 127th season at 3 p.m. Nov. 13 at Cape Coral High School.

The band will focus on American music and pay tribute to U.S. men and women in uniform. The program features the Armed Forces Salute; rousing marches by Henry Fillmore, Sigmund Romberg, and K.L. King; Scott Joplin’s The Entertainer; highlights from Carousel and Cats; and a Dixieland combo playing New Orleans Jam Session.

The concert is free and open to the public; donations are accepted after each performance, Additional concerts are set for Dec. 11, 2011; and January 15, February 12, March 11, and April 1, 2012.
