* Palm Harbor Apartments hosts a Senior Friendship Lunch Program Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. to noon. Free blood pressure checks every Friday also from 11 a.m. to noon. A non profit organization and a HUD subsidy apartment community for resident over 62 years young. Palm Harbor Apartments is located at 1081 Palm Ave., North Fort Myers. * TOPS – Take Off Pounds Sensibly is a national non-profit organization with a local club active in the area since 1993. Meetings are held at North Fort Myers Church of the Nazarene, 6781 Bayshore Rd. (enter rear door) every Wednesday with weigh-ins at 8:45 a.m. and the meeting at 9 am. * North Fort Myers Rotary Club, 997-3832, now meets at Capt’n Fishbones Restaurant at the Shell Factory, 2787 N. Tamiami Trail. Regular meetings are Thursdays starting with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with meeting at 8 a.m.

* Scale Rails of Southwest Florida Model Railroad Club, a non-profit organization for model railroaders and visitors. HO, N-Scale, and Kids Layout. Modeling Clinics are held January through April. Visitors welcome.

* The American Merchant Marine Veterans meet at Gulfcoast Villages, 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd. the third Tuesday of each month September through June for an 11:30 a.m. luncheon. 728-3169 for more information.

* Looking to improve your communication skills, lose your fear of public speaking and learn skills that can help you be more successful? Join the Electric Toasters for an action packed hour every second and fourth Wednesday at noon held at LCEC in North Fort Myers. The Electric Toasters is a local chapter of Toastmasters International and is an open club. Bring your lunch and learn what Toastmasters can do for you! * The North Fort Myers Design Review Panel (NFMDRP) meets at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month at the Community of Christ Church, 368 Herron Rd. in North Fort Myers. All meetings are open to the public. For information, call Wayne Daltry, president, at 997-0673.

* Bereaved Parents of the USA, Lee County Florida Chapter, holds support meetings on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. at Evangelical Presbyterian Church (Building next to Administration building) 701 Mohawk Pkwy, S.E. * The North Fort Myers Elks Lodge 2742, (239) 731-2867, meets the first and third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. The lodge has an ongoing program to feed homeless veterans every Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Clothing and pantry items are also available. The lodge is located at 2163 Twin Brooks Rd., North Fort Myers.

* The Concerned Citizens of Bayshore Community (CCBC) has changed its’ meeting day and time. Starting in March our meetings will be held every third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the New Hope Christian Church on Bayshore Road across from Lawhon’s store. * The North Fort Myers Civic Association for the betterment of the community meets every second Tuesday of the month at the Community of Christ Church at 368 Herron Rd. at 7 p.m. The public is invited. * Chapter FL2G, Gold Wing Road Riders Association, holds its monthly chapter meeting the first Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at The Golden Coral, 4690 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers. * East Mariana Neighborhood Watch – residents of the East Mariana neighborhood are invited to the monthly meeting of the East Mariana Neighborhood Watch on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at 1645 Temple Terrace, corner of Ixora and Temple Terrace.

* Cape Coral Family Support Group – This support group is for family, loved ones and caregivers of those who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. This support group meets on the first Monday of every month, starting at 7 p.m., and is located at the SWFAS Building, 1105 Cultural Park Blvd. in Cape Coral.

* CARING4KIDS – This support groups is for family, loved ones and caregivers of those below the age of 18 who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. This support group meets on the third Thursday of every month, starting at 6 p.m., and is located at the Ruth Cooper Center, 2789 Ortiz Ave.., Building F, Fort Myers.

* Fort Myers Family Support Group – This support group is for family, loved ones and caregivers of those who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. This support group meets on the first Wednesday of every month, starting at 7 p.m., and is located at St. Hillary’s Church at the corner of Colonial Blvd. and McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers.
