There are still four more days to go at the Lehigh Spring Festival.

So far, large crowds have attended the mostly evening events, but activities on Sunday began at 11 a.m. with a horseshoe tournament followed by a toddler pageant, crafts exhibit and all-age pageants.

Hundreds attended, with about a dozen young women vying for the title of Junior Miss Spring Festival and Miss Spring Festival.

Akyrah Stone, 9, a student at Veterans Park School for the Arts, was crowned Junior Miss. She was given a crown, sash and roses.

Elizabeth Hamman, a senior at Immokalee High School, was crowned Miss Spring.

Events will be held each day.

On Saturday, the activities begin at 8 a.m. with an American Legion Pancake Breakfast at the Post, at 1124 Ashler Ave. The Lehigh Acres Rotary Club will kick off its annual race in Veterans Park at the same time.

At 11 a.m., there will be an Easter Parade at Veterans Park followed by an Easter Egg Hunt.

The Cloggers will perform on the outside stage at the park at 12:45 p.m.

The car and truck show begins at 2:30 p.m., with winners to be announced from the outside stage at 4:45 p.m.

Two country music concerts are scheduled – Dani Dease at 7 p.m. and country music star Jake Clayton at 8 p.m.

The park is open all day Saturday, with carnival rides, local craft vendors and lots of food. Parking is $4.

All events at the festival are free with several local businesses picking up the tab for the cost of entertainment and other expenses.

The rest of the week will feature the Festival Idol competition and lots of other activities.
