This time last week, many of us were preparing for the worst and hoping for the best as Hurricane Ian made its way toward SWFL. And in the six days since landfall, many of us have endured some of the most difficult and heartbreaking experiences of our lives as Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc on our beloved community.

But we are Lee County Strong. In just a few days, this SWFL community has rallied together resources, manpower, donations of food and water, and an outpouring of support to those in need. With the help of food rescue partners and committed staff and volunteers, Community Cooperative has been able to serve to-go meals and emergency food from our Community Market every single day since the hurricane hit. We have brought emergency groceries to those in need throughout Lee County with four pop-up mobile food pantries. Since the storm hit, we have distributed more than 5,000 hot meals, served 1,600 households and over 10,000 people in need of assistance.

We cannot do this important work without your help.
