Florida Department of Health reopens some locations post Hurricane Ian

In response to Hurricane Ian, all locations for the Florida Department of Health in Lee County have been closed since the onset of Hurricane Ian. Some locations are open, while some locations will remain closed until further notice.
The following locations are open and operating regular hours:

Lehigh Acres, FL 33971
The following location is operational, but with limited in-person services**:

**In an effort to limit foot traffic at our Environmental Health Office due to the Disaster Recovery Center currently operating at the Joseph P. D’Alessandro, we are asking you to take advantage of our digital services whenever possible.**
Available digital services include:
· Septic Permitting Requirements
· Submit septic system inspection requests
· Options to track septic statuses
· For EH Facilities Program Information
· To Pay EH invoices
If digital submittal, payments, or tracking are not possible, and limited in-person client services are needed, please send your request to LeeEH@FLHealth.gov or call 239-690-2100 and we will coordinate a solution.

Vital Statistics
Birth and death certificates are being provided at no cost to individuals impacted by Hurricane Ian at the Disaster Recovery Centers located at:

· Joseph P. D’Alessandro Complex, 2295 Victoria Ave., Fort Myers, FL 33901
The Florida Department of Health continues to coordinate with local emergency managers on resource requests and is on-site at the State Emergency Operation Center in Tallahassee responding to Hurricane Ian.
