Lee County Parks & Recreation reminds patrons that some locations remain closed while sites are being used for disaster-recovery operations.

Do not visit these locations at this time, as Parks & Recreation sites are supporting local, state and federal recovery efforts.

The sites are not open to the public:

Lakes Park, 7330 Gladiolus Drive, Fort Myers

Punta Rassa Boat Ramp, 15001 Punta Rassa Road, Fort Myers

Rutenberg Park, 6500 South Pointe Blvd., Fort Myers

Lee County Sports Complex, 14100 Six Mile Cypress Parkway, Fort Myers

JetBlue Park, 11500 Fenway South Drive, Fort Myers

When recovery operations cease at these sites and they reopen, the county will notify the public with alerts to media, on www.leegov.com/storm and www.leeparks.org, and on social media.

The public is also asked at this time to avoid island parks and preserves.

The county appreciates park patrons’ patience as the community recovers from Hurricane Ian.

Many Parks & Recreation sites have been assessed post-storm and are open. Find alternate sites at www.leeparks.org, call 239-533-7275 or email leeparks@leegov.com.
