Job fair for the new middle school in Lehigh Acres
The School District of Lee County is opening a new middle school in Lehigh Acres in August and hiring for all available teaching and non-instructional positions on Thursday, March 16. Anyone interested is asked to register in advance HERE.
The new middle school is reopening the original Lehigh Acres Middle School campus on Arthur Avenue. The school went through an $18.6 million renovation in 2022 to create new classrooms, science labs and computer labs with state-of-the-art equipment. The media center and gym were upgraded, while space was dedicated to music, art and dance.
The job fair will be held virtually from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Managers will be interviewing and hiring. Teaching candidates eligible to attend must meet one of the following criteria:
• Hold a valid standard teaching certificate (Florida or out-of-state) OR
• Expected to graduate from a college of education by August 2023 OR
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in an area where certification can be obtained or any degree major and a passing score on a subject area exam
