Top Nashville artist comes to Babcock Ranch for music-filled evening, Aug. 11
Music City guitarist and singer Dave Isaacs joins The Poelker Brothers in Founder’s Square
Babcock Ranch, America’s first solar powered town, is offering up a sneak preview of its Nashville Night music festival this fall with an evening of blues, rock and country featuring acclaimed Nashville guitarist and singer Dave Isaacs with The Poelker Brothers on Friday, Aug. 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Free and open to the public, the concert will take place under the bandshell in the downtown area of Founder’s Square. Guests are invited to bring a chair or blanket for seating on the green lawn.
Master guitar teacher and singer-songwriter Isaacs, also known as the “Guitar Guru of Music Row,” showcases foot-stomping swamp blues, rock ‘n’ roll, flamenco and raw and harmony-driven country-rock. As a classically trained concert guitarist, Isaacs has earned acclaim from Guitar Player magazine, the Nashville Songwriters Association International and music executives for a teaching style combining motivation, perspective and practical techniques. He’s released 12 independent albums and coaches professional performers, hit songwriters and the next generation of Nashville’s rising stars.
A local favorite and known for their 60s, 70s, 80s rock and more, The Poelker Brothers have a diverse setlist of cover songs ranging from The Allman Brothers Band, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones to Green Day and Alanis Morissette. The band consists of five full-time members, Kevin Poelker (guitar/bass), Mark Poelker (drums), Jamie Prince (bass/guitar), Tony Marinacci (vocals/acoustic guitar) and Natasha Cabernite (vocals/ keyboard).
Concertgoers will also enjoy food and beverages served by vendors participating in Babcock Ranch’s weekly Food Truck Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. and at Founder’s Square restaurants Slater’s Goods & Provisions, Square Scoops Coffee & Creamery and The Lake House Bar & Kitchen.
Guests at the Aug. 11 concert will also have a chance to purchase tickets for the upcoming Nashville Night concert on Nov. 18. The inaugural festival includes blues, rock and country performances by headliner singer-songwriter Deidre Thornell and starring artists Meg Williams and Travis Bowlin as well as Isaacs. Tickets are $35, with proceeds benefiting the Babcock Ranch Foundation, which supports programs and initiatives that enhance, enrich and positively impact the lives of at-risk children.
