Nearly one year ago, on Sept. 28, 2022, Hurricane Ian made landfall in Lee County and inflicted terrible devastation. Since that day, the Lee Board of County Commissioners and county staff across all departments have been working side by side with partners to help restore the community.

In recognition of the anniversary, Lee County will publish a series of videos on its social media channels leading up to the anniversary to honor the community’s response to this tragedy. Featuring a variety of county employees, the videos exemplify the spirit that has fueled so much progress, while emphasizing that there is still much to do.

The first video will be shared today, Thursday, Sept. 21, on Lee County Government’s YouTube channel as well as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Go to youtube.com/c/LeeCountyFLBOCC. Five more videos will be posted Sunday, Sept. 23, through Thursday, Sept. 28.
