NFMAA donates Florence Samson paintings to Edison Ford Winter Estates
Pam Cupp and Mike Cosden with the paintings – one donated painting was of the Caretaker's Cottage and the other, a portrait of Mina Edison.

The North Fort Myers Arts Association (NFMAA) recently donated two paintings by Florence Samson to Edison Ford Winter Estates’ Chief Curator Mike Cosden, who was excited to add them to the home’s collection.
Samson was born in the Estates’ Caretaker’s Cottage and Cosden had heard a lot of good things about her from the Museum Conservator Megan Kissinger. Nine years ago, Pam Cupp, NFMAA’s Art in Public Places Chair and one of Samson’s good friends, met Kissinger when Samson had a showing of her artwork in the Cottage. At the time, Kissinger was very impressed with Samson and her stories – stories that captivated all the people gathered around whenever she would tell one.
