Adult Programs
Books & Bites
11 a.m. Monday, April 1
Join us for an hour of books, fun and conversation. Everyone is welcome to stop by to discuss their favorite books. Get recommendations on everything from recent releases to forgotten classics. Refreshments will be provided.
English Café
10:30 a.m. Thursdays, April 4, 11, 18, 25
Free, informal conversation sessions for adult ESOL/ESL students.
Poetry and Karaoke Slam
6 p.m. Tuesday, April 9
Join us for a Poetry/Karaoke Slam in honor of National Poetry Month. Bring your best poems, rants or songs to sing and by the end of the night, someone will be crowned as the Karaoke King or Queen.
DIY Craft Club: April Showers
2 p.m. Thursday, April 11
Use paint and creativity to design a personalized watering can in this fun craft program just for adults. All materials will be provided and registration is required.
Trivia: 2000s Anime Edition
6 p.m. Tuesday, April 16
Welcome anime enthusiasts. Step into the time machine and join us as we travel back to the early 2000s for a trivia game all about the awesome shows from 2000 to 2009. Think Naruto, Death Note, Fruits Basket and more. Test your memory, relive the best moments and uncover secrets from these amazing series. Are you ready to dive into this anime blast from the past?
Book Discussion: “The Other Half” by Charlotte Vassell
2 p.m. Thursday, April 18
When he stumbles upon the body of a young socialite during his morning run on Hampstead Heath, Detective Caius Beauchamp finds a wall of staggering wealth and privilege threatening to shut down his investigation before it’s begun.
Master Gardeners: Butterfly Basics
2 p.m. Thursday, April 25
Planting a butterfly garden is a great way to beautify your yard and help attract many of the different butterflies found in Southwest Florida. Most butterfly gardens are also a magnet for hummingbirds and beneficial insects. Learn the basics regarding the needs of different butterflies and the changing requirements throughout their life cycles. Presented by Sandy Salzman, Lee County master gardener volunteer.
Children’s Programs
Stuffie Sleepover Storytime
6 p.m. Tuesday, April 2
Children and families are encouraged to come in their pajamas with their favorite stuffie for an evening edition of storytime. At the end, children are encouraged to leave their stuffed animals for an adventure-filled sleep over in the library. Please plan to pick up stuffies the following day.
Family Storytime
11 a.m. Wednesdays, April 3, 10, 17, 24
For children through age 5 and caregivers. Families with young children enjoy a variety of stories, songs, rhymes and movement.
Baby Rhyme Time
11 a.m. Thursdays, April 4, 11, 18, 25
For babies up to 18 months. Babies and caregivers wiggle and giggle in a supportive environment. Space is limited. Arrive early and visit the children’s desk to check in.
STEAM Saturday
11 a.m. Saturday, April 6
Join us for a family-friendly STEAM exploration. Each month will feature a different activity based on the aspects of STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. This is a great opportunity for parents and kids to build, learn and play together.

Kids Read Down Fines
2 p.m. Saturday, April 13
Children and teens can earn a $2 credit on overdue fines for every 15 minutes they read in the designated area for a total of $8 in one session. Please bring your library card.
Read to the Dogs
2 – 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13
Join us at the library to read to the dogs. The dogs are registered therapy animals who volunteer with their owner/handlers as a team to help improve the literacy skills of children. You can read down fines or just encourage a love of reading in your children with reading to the dogs.
Family Craft Saturday
11 a.m. Saturday, April 20
Children and their families are invited to join us for a morning of crafting. All supplies will be provided, just bring your creativity. No registration required.

Now’s the time to settle the score. Join in the fun and challenge your friends to a variety of board games and video games. Light snacks provided.
