$5,000 in electrical wiring stolen from Cape business
Nearly $5,000 in electrical wiring has been stolen from an aluminum company in northeast Cape Coral, according to a police report.
Paul Graziano, owner of U-Build-It Aluminum Center, arrived at his business at about 7:35 a.m. Wednesday and noticed in a bay area, a temporary wooden wall had been forced inward as if it had been kicked in. He looked around the business, located at 741 Del Prado Blvd., N., and noticed inventory missing.
According to the report, several spools of electrical wiring were missing from the business. The estimated cost of the missing material is $4,353.
Graziano contacted the police and they responded to the scene. During an investigation, Graziano told an officer that there had been several break-in attempts in the last few months, but he did not report them to the police.
Graziano said he is looking into surveillance cameras and an alarm system for the building, according to the report. He has double locked some of the doors to the business because of the previous break-in attempts.
