Cape home burglarized; $5,000 worth of electronics stolen
More than $5,000 worth of electronics were reported stolen from a residence Monday in southwest Cape Coral.
At about 3:30 p.m., Cape police responded to a report of a burglary at a home in the 3400 block of Skyline Boulevard. According to a report, a man stated that he went out of town on Saturday and returned home Monday.
When he got back, the man found that the front window of his home was broken, the front door was unlocked and a bedroom slider and screen lanai door were open. The report states the bedrooms and kitchen had been ransacked.
The missing items are a 47-inch flat screen television and two 37-inch flat screen televisions, along with an X-box 360, a PlayStation 3, camcorder and 12 video games. The items are valued at $5,200, according to the report.
