Arts & Crafts-A-Palooza to be held Saturday at Grace Community Center
Grace Community Center is again hosting another major fund-raiser event for one day only, Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 4151 Hancock Bridge Parkway, North Fort Myers.
“Many return vendors will present their wonderful works of art, some of which are hand-painted china, fine art, cards, candles, pet clothes, jewelry of many types, hand-made baskets, potato bags, magnets, furniture and exotic hardwood pens, to name a few,” said event coordinator Marsha Smith of Cape Coral. “Also, we will have Pampered Chef, Watkins, American Girl doll clothes and the very popular farmer’s market that includes fresh-frozen fish.
“This is our fourth annual event. Every year it has been bigger and better. A new thing this year is a dance and vocal revue,” she said. Beginning at 1 p.m. there will be a talent revue which will offer music, dance and vocal numbers by various instructors at the center and the church.
“There are still vendor booth spots available, but call as soon as possible for this Saturday’s event,” she said. You can call her directly for information.
“There will also be food available like our famous burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, popcorn, that kind of thing and lots of beverage choices. You won’t want to miss it.”
Limited seating will be provided to all free of charge.
All proceeds benefit the Grace Community Center which is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity. During the art and craft show, the GCC Thrift Store will be open for business to allow for additional good deals.
“It benefits all the mission programs that go on there (at the center),” she said.
Smith is also a member of the church, and this event is, “near and dear to her heart.”
“This year’s fair is huge, even with all the other events going on the same weekend.”
