Ford’s Garage to celebrate anniversary, craft beer on July 4
Ford’s Garage is celebrating its first anniversary in Cape Coral with a Craft Beer Festival on July 4.
The Cape Coral Ford’s location, one of three in Lee County, will open at 2 p.m. that day offering Red, White & Boom enthusiasts an alternative to the street fair.
“We will have 40 different craft beers to sample and representatives from about 10 breweries on hand to help out,” said Ford’s general manager Jeff Grethel. “This area is big on craft beer and we stock 200 different kinds in bottles.”
Tickets to the Craft Beer Fest are $25 in advance or $30 at the door on July 4. Tickets can be purchased in advance at any of the three Ford’s Garage locations. Tickets entitle guests to a 5 ounce cup to sample all the craft beer they want as well as a hot dog or hamburger and VIP seating for the fireworks until 10 p.m.
“It’s our one year anniversary and we thought it is something different for people to do,” said Grethel. “We hope it is a huge success and maybe we can do it at all locations next year.”
Cigar City, Fort Myers Brewing, Lagunaitas, Bell’s, Left Hand Brew, Shiner, Summit and Terrapin are just a few of the 40 craft beers that will be available.
Ford’s will set up a 40 x 40 tent to house the craft beer bar. There also will be popcorn and Sno- Cone machines, and a dunk tank available during the festival for everyone’s enjoyment.
