LeeTran sets public meetings on proposed fare increase

FORT MYERS LeeTran seeks input from the public on a proposal to increase its base adult fare from $1.25 to $1.50, as well as its pass prices.

Five meetings will be held at which the public can learn more about the proposal and question LeeTran staff, as well as provide feedback. The meetings will be held:

Thursday, July 17, at 5:30 p.m.

Suncoast Estates Community Center

Tuesday, July 22, at 5:30 p.m.

East District Sheriff’s Office

1301 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres

Wednesday, July 23 at 5:30 p.m.

Bonita Springs City Hall

9101 Bonita Beach Road, Bonita Springs

Tuesday, July 29, at 5:30 p.m.

Lee County Administration Building

2115 Second St., Fort Myers

Wednesday, July 30, at 5:30 p.m.

Cape Coral-Lee County Library

921 SW 39th Terrace, Cape Coral

A public hearing and vote on this proposal will be held by the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 5:05 p.m. in Commission Chambers at the old Lee County Courthouse,
