Cape police seeking armed robbery suspect
Cape Coral Police are looking for two suspects from an early-morning attempted armed robbery at the Golden Corral in north Cape Coral.
One man entered the rear of the Golden Corral Restaurant at 410 Andalusia Boulevard just before 9 a.m., officials said, adding he was seen on a surveillance camera, lurking in the kitchen area, armed with a handgun. The man had a red bandana over his face and was seen watching the manager count money and put it into the cash registers.
Once the man was seen on video, restaurant personnel called 9-1-1 and activated the panic alarm.
The man then pulled the bandana that was covering his face down and walked out of the restaurant without incident. He fled in a green GMC pick-up truck (long bed), that was driven by another man, described as having long dreadlocks, wearing a short-sleeved neon green shirt.
Anyone with information on the identity of the men in question are asked to contact the Cape Coral Police Department at 239-574-3223.
