Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Varekai’ now at Germain
Cirque du Soleil’s newest arena show, “Varekai,” is performing in Estero at Germain Arena through Sunday, Sept. 28, and tickets are still available.
After 11 years of touring the world under the blue and yellow Big Top, Varekai recently began a new adventure in December touring the world in arenas and in some markets never visited before.
The word Varekai (pronounced ver-ay-‘kie) means “wherever” in the Romany language of the gypsies the universal wanderers.
Directed by Dominic Champagne, this production pays tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition, and to those who quest with infinite passion along the path that leads to Varekai.
Local showtimes are Friday, Sept. 26, at 4 and 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 27, at 4 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 28, at 1:30 and 5 p.m.
Adult tickets to the show are available in three tiers, ranging from $35 to $100. Children 12 and under are from $28 to $81. Military, seniors and students are from $31.51 to $85.50 (some restrictions may apply).
A Cirque Club membership is free and benefits includes access to advance tickets, special offers and exclusive behind the scenes information. To join, go to CirqueClub.com.
