City to host community forum on coyotes Tuesday

1 min read

The city of Cape Coral is partnering with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to host a community forum and presentation on coyotes in Cape Coral. The forum and presentation will be Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m., in City Council Chambers.

The community presentation is in response to recent reports and residents’ concerns about coyotes killing domestic cats.

Angeline Scotten, Wildlife Assistance Biologist with FWC’s Southwest Regional Office, will provide a PowerPoint presentation and answer questions. She will be joined by representatives from Cape Coral’s Environmental Resources Division and Police Department as well as Lee County Domestic Animal Services.

The public is encouraged to attend this forum to discuss living with coyotes.
