The Super Walmart on Del Prado Boulevard “has been cleared and is now reopened” following a bomb threat that caused an evacuation of the store in the midst of Black Friday sales.

The threat was phoned in to the store at 1619 Del Prado Boulevard S. around 2:20 p.m., according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

Cape Coral Police Department and Cape Coral Fire Department worked the threat which resulted in no injuries and no device, officials said.

The incident did, however, snarl traffic in the area as the evacuation commenced and the investigation continued, officials said.

The store re-opened before 4 p.m.
